Several of the wages for the above professions are higher than the national average. O*NET also reports that correctional officers and jailers are predicted to see a job growth of six percent between 2012 and 2022 while detectives and criminal investigators can expect a four percent growth.

Forensic science technicians and fire inspectors & investigators are projected to see employment growths of eight percent and twelve percent, respectively.
